Establishing Good Poker Routine Habits
3 February 2010Being a creature of habit, I tend to inflict routines even on the things I do for fun. Poker is no exception to this occurrence, and in fact in the long I’ve found that my game is improved by the presence of little behaviors taking over in the management of my poker table time. If used correctly, little habits and attentions can turn your routine into a well oiled machine for raking in pots. One of the major things about my routine is I only play at the end of the day, when I have finished my other responsibilities, and there is nothing left on my agenda but the night. By doing this I am not rushed through casino online hands to make a certain amount of money so that I can quit ahead and go about what I am supposed to do. Keeping true to this behavior has proved to keep my game at a higher level then when I used to allow myself to play at any time of day. I also enjoy the routine of looking for tables that fit my profile. I like a medium aggressive, smart game, perhaps occasionally with a couple of looser to wild poker online players to keep the money flowing. Keeping my standards up for the table also helps me feel at ease from hand to hand, which leads to a better overall result.
